Welcome to NARPO Maidstone & District

About Maidstone Branch

The Maidstone & District Branch of NARPO was formed in 1947 and is one of five branches in Kent. Although most of our 600 plus members live in and around Maidstone, many are in other parts of the UK and countries abroad. We keep in touch with all members through our email circulation system and by forwarding the minutes of our branch meetings. Members are invited to the four branch meetings we hold each year at the Kent Police Training School. At the end of each meeting there is a free raffle and a buffet; this is when we meet up with old friends. We are grateful to Kent Police for the use of the Training School; we are pleased to maintain close links with the force.

Further Key Information

As well as the four branch meetings, Maidstone branch holds two luncheons each year in the Spring and the Autumn. Our social calendar is busy with trips to shows in the West End of London and the Royal Albert Hall, the Brick Lane Pantomime, Quiz Nights and, in 2019, a day out at Kempton Park Race Course and a river trip with an on-board lunch. For those members who need help, advice and welfare support the branch is fortunate in having three Welfare Officers on the committee.
